Saved by Grace

imageIt’s been a while since the last time I’ve blogged a reflection. Well, the Lord’s message for me tonight has really moved me that I was in tears in my prayer. Let me share this with you in the hope that you will also be moved and blessed with the message.

In our Bible studies the past few weeks, my pastor husband guided us into topics such as how to have a deeper relationship with God through His son, Jesus Christ… to this latest one about justification, sanctification and glorification process. Indeed, we are justified by faith because Jesus paid the penalty of our sins by dying on the cross. And by receiving Jesus in our hearts and believing in Him, we are saved by grace and so no one can boast. Here comes our part, wherein we must make our best effort in making ourselves holy each imageday, which is the sanctification stage – as our God is holy and so we, too, must be holy. Be Christlike in every way. This my friend, I know is hard to do if we only depend on ourselve. It is actually impossible. But it is possible with the help of God. Let us remember, that we cannot do anything without God. So, it is only in dependence in God that we can be holy. By asking for His help to live each day glorifying His name, may it be at work, school, home or community. Be an instrument for His glory. By doing so, in His perfect righteousness, we have the certainty of being glorified by Him once we see Him face to face. I am just excited in the hope of finally hearing God say to me, “Well done, my faithful and loving servant.” And then live with Him in His kingdom eternally. As Christians, this is our ultimate goal.

I must admit, that this is my very first time to sound like I’m preaching. And it feels good to finally be able to do it even by just writing it for you to read. In my prayer tonight, I was in tears. Because I am reminded once again by how God loves you and me very much. And that He just waits for us to repent and turn away from our sins. People nowadays are too comfortable in sinning just because the world has deceived them into thinking that certain sins are okay and normal already. Which is in fact, they are not! And they will never be! If we go back reading our Bible, it is terrifying to know the dangers of sin and the punishment that awaits to those who stays sinning! Let me be clear, that repentance after death is no longer acceptable to God. So it is now that we make use of our precious time on earth to repent our sins before the Lord and receive Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. Have a personal relationship with Him right now. Right this very moment. And sin no more. The Lord is coming really soon and Im praying that you and me and our names are written in the Book of Life.

Lord, may this post move someone today. I may not know him/her by name, but You, oh Lord, knows the heart of this person.

Let me lead you in this prayer:

Lord Jesus, please forgive my sins and enter my heart. I accept you as my personal Lord and Savior. Thank You for your grace that I am cleansed from my uncleanliness and sins by dying on the cross. I do not deserve Your love but You love me anyway. That’s why from this day on, may You be the center of my life. In Jesus’ most precious name. Amen!
